Workaround: In older versions of PCSX2 (before 1.7.0) go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, set internal resolution to native.Description: The noodles seen in bad mode appear as strange squares.The "rappin' bad" effect is rendered incorrectly In newer versions this is completely fixed However, this is a very minor issue that does not get in front of the lyrics. A different issue will appear in the top left corner of the screen. Workaround: Go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)" and make sure Hardware Depth/Depth Emulation is enabled, or set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.(This can also be seen in the PS4 port of the game) Description: The "rappin' bad" effect is not shown.Workaround: Play on an older version of PCSX2.This is most common in cool mode, but can also happen in other places. Description: In Nightly builds of PCSX2, the game randomly drops to 30 FPS.For older builds, the "Disable Depth Emulation" HW hack can be used but will cause additional graphical issues. Workaround: This issue is fixed in 1.7.0.Description: A black box appears at the top left of the screen in both HW and SW modes.Or use Software renderer in nightly build. Do note that this may break Stage 6's sprites and only corrects some cases. Workaround: Go to Config > Graphics Settings > Renderer, set Mipmapping to Full, then go to Hacks and set Trilinear Filtering to Ultra.Description: Many mipmap issues are present, for example the background fog in the multiplayer mode doesn't work.Description: PTR2BESMS (A modding tool for PaRappa 2) doesn't work on 1.7.0 and newer.Modding tools don't work on newer versions In versions prior to 1.7, go to Config > Graphics Settings > Hacks and set Texture Offsets according to your resolution scale below.
